Iron and old wood in Saugus, Massachusetts. This was captured at the Saugus Iron Works National Park. This park features several old mills, blacksmithing and forges. I enjoyed shooting at this site for several reasons - the subject matter was perfect for my interests as it featured weathered wood and rustic iron. But it was also a national park, seldom visited. It was a great experience and I look forward to returning. Found in Saugus, MA

With my camera, I travel throughout the state and New England exploring seaside towns and seeking out elements that spark inspiration and interest. These include exploring the unseen or often overlooked details within our built environment with a focus on iron, wood and the sea. Generally, I seek to capture the beauty and interest in the small things - the parts rather than the whole.
